This is, I believe, the vixen and mate of the one under the bird feeder. They arrived together on the dot off 5 o'clock but she got bored waiting for him to finish eating and left before him. She probably had to go and get on with the housework leaving him to enjoy himself. She was also in the same wonderful condition he was so the early summer must have given them ample opportunities to eat well and get in shape.
The two pictures needed a little assistance from Photoshop as it was still almost dark when they came. I took some pictures at 1/4 of a second which gave good light but meant the image was blurred by any movement. I think this one was taken at 1/30 of a second which made for a very dark image but less blurring. Photoshop was able to cope with the necessary adjustments.
I think she would be about 15 feet from our back door when I took this which is as close as I have ever seen one in the garden.
When she sloped off into our neighbours garden she went through a gap I was unable to discover when I had a look for it later in the day.
I always love catching sight of these beautiful animals.
