Blondie is going to be Hollywood's newest and hottest 4 legged star! Blondie is beautiful and talented!
Blondie does all kinds of tricks she does all the usual dog tricks and some of her own! She can count! if I ask her math problems with the answer up to 50 she will bark out the right amount of barks, and she learns anything fast, and is a seasoned street performer. she can work around crowds, loud trucks, sirens etc...
Did we mention Blondie is available for modeling, commercials, tv shows, films, training your dog as well!

That's his favorite nap spot though he can't nap the way he likes too because the wheel was in the way. I moved it because he kept getting lazy about going down to his cage bottom to use the toilet/litterbox and started peeing in the corner by the wheel! Guess when you've got 3 levels it makes you think you can start doing construction to build a second bathroom!

We donate newspapers, toys, food, etc. to Lollypop on a regular basis. On one of these drop-off days, my daughter Linds asked if we could look at the dogs. We did. And there, all alone, all furry and puffy was little Llasa-poo Mattie! (We added Mae to the end of her name.) We went home and picked up our other dog Bear (Shih-poo) to see if they would get along. They were great together. We've had Mattie Mae for 3 years now and could not imagine living without her. She totally took over control of the house, and Bear, but he loves it and her. She adds so much fun to the house with her jumping and playing and her crazy little crooked nose. Thank you to Lollypop for giving us the most lovable little bundle of spunk we could ask for, and a great companion to our little Bear!!

Volunteering at the Mosaic Feline Rescue in Ann Arbor. These are wonderful cats and are looking for a good home. There are lots of kittens at Mosaic right now including this tiny 2 or 3 day old who was found alone with her brother (who did not survive). These photos are from Sunday July 22, 2012.

Thistle is the common name of a group of flowering plants characterised by leaves with sharp prickles on the margins, mostly in the plant family Asteraceae. Prickles often occur all over the plant - on surfaces such as those of the stem and flat parts of leaves. These are an adaptation to protect the plant against herbivorous animals, discouraging them from feeding on the plant. Typically, an involucre with a clasping shape of a cup or urn subtends each of a thistle's flowerheads.
The term thistle is sometimes taken to mean exactly those plants in the tribe Cardueae, especially the genera Carduus, Cirsium, and Onopordum. However, plants outside this tribe are sometimes called thistles, and if this is done thistles would form a polyphyletic group.

Mountain Ash

Sorbus americana showing off its bright orange-red berries on top of Grandfather Mountain. The berries last through the winter, or at least until they get eaten. They are popular food for a wide range of birds and small mammals. The berries are edible for humans but too sour to be eaten raw. They are used to make jellies and homemade wines and cooked with meats.
Native American folklore says the more berries there are on these trees, the more severe the winter will be. An old Objibwa legend tells the story why this is so:
A long time ago during a particularly harsh winter, Indian hunters came across a snow field strewn with hundreds of birds and small animals lying dead in the snow. Frightened, they prayed to the Great Spirit who answered and instructed them to take one drop of blood from each dead animal and smear it onto their tree of life and death. That was the Mountain Ash, since it was the tree from which they fashioned their bows and arrows. They did as instructed and the next morning they found the tree covered in thousands of red berries with the surviving birds and small animals all over the branches and eating them. They thanked the Great Spirit, who promised them that he would cover those same trees with plenty of berries again whenever a cold winter was approaching.

In May 2007 the zoo appeared in the news when Bokito, Blijdorp's silverback gorilla, escaped from his enclosure and seriously injured a female visitor. Before the attack, the woman was a regular visitor of the zoo (on average 4 times per week) and claimed to have a special bond with Bokito, regularly touching the glass between her and the gorilla, making eye contact and smiling to him.[4]
In October 2010, the city of Rotterdam decided to reduce its yearly funding of Blijdorp from nearly 4.5 to about 0.8 million Euro until 2015.[5] The zoo and its supporters protested the decision, claiming it is unclear if the zoo can continue to operate with the reduced budget.[6]

This was driving me insane...the damned lights DO NOT line up with the ceiling rods AT ALL! I stood under this, tripodless, for 5 minutes, trying to find an angle/height that worked....I'm sure everyone around me thought I was having a seizure or something.
In the end...I kinda like that they don't line up. =]
